TFG holds eleven appointed positions for board members. Each board member is slated for a three-year term and may serve an additional three-year term if appointed and inclined to continue. Serving as a board member of TFG is a rewarding experience that also holds great responsibilities regarding duty of care, faith, and loyalty to The Fostered Gift as a nonprofit organization and to its charitable mission. The duties of a board member include directing the overall mission and vision of the organization, providing organizational oversight, participating in strategic planning, assessing the organization's reach, process, and fiscal health, and acting as a faithful and just steward of the assets of TFG. All board members will complete a background check as required.
